1. If you commute to work via bus/train get off one stop prior to your stop and walk the rest of the way into work.
2. Park your car in the back of the parking lot then walk those few extra steps into work.
3. If you have children that you take to a bus stop, walk with them instead of drive them to the stop.
4. During the day take the stairs instead of an elevator or escalator.
5. Take a walk in the evening with your family or friends or take the dog for a walk.
6. Instead of sending an email or text to a friend at work, walk over to their space.
 
These are just a few tips to help get a few extra steps in each day. You can also get a standing desk to stand more or a yoga type ball to sit on to help with movement and avoid sitting for long hours at a time.
