Peanut Butter Energy Balls

Ingredients:

1 cup old fashioned oatmeal (make sure you are not using quick cooking)
1 cup natural peanut or almond butter
1/2 cup raw honey (or any honey you have on hand)
1/4 cup ground flax seed (optional)

gallon size ziploc bag
parchment paper

Directions:
Mix all ingredients into a medium size bowl. Make golf ball size balls and place onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and place in the freezer. Allow 1 hour to set then remove from freezer and put into a gallon size ziploc bag. Store in freezer and take out as you’d like to eat. Each energy ball only needs about 5 minutes to thaw. Enjoy your mid afternoon snack!

To add a twist you can add dried cranberries or dark chocolate mini chips to the mix.
