1. Schedule your time to prep. Whatever day you choose to prep for the week allow yourself several hours. Make sure you stick to your schedule once you’ve planned.
2. Before starting make sure you prep your equipment. Prepare by getting out your cutting boards (more than one for easy prep), knives, utensils, mixing bowls, etc. The little bit of time it takes to get all of your equipment out will save you time when you are in the middle of prepping your meals.
3. Focus on the ingredients instead of the meals. Prepare ingredients and then you can mix and match ingredients to be as creative as you want when it comes time to make dinner.
4. Spend some time prepping interesting sauces. Keep dinner’s interesting by mixing it up and create sauce blends to have on hand.
5. Enjoy the process by jamming to your favorite tunes. It makes the prepping fun and makes the time go by faster. You will be more productive if you are enjoying your time in the kitchen.
